How To Use This Tool

Purpose

The Callback Mapper helps you find phrases, images, characters, rules, and ideas that can return later for bigger laughs. It turns loose jokes into a connected routine.

When To Use It

Use this tool when you want to connect separate jokes, strengthen a longer bit, create a running joke, or build a stronger closer by bringing back something the audience already remembers.

How To Use It

1. Enter your original premise or bit idea.
2. Add a possible callback anchor such as a phrase, object, image, or rule.
3. Choose a recurring character or voice.
4. Choose the callback type.
5. Click Map Callbacks.
6. Use the placement map to decide where the callback can return later.

Example Input

Premise: Grandpa refuses to trust GPS directions.
Callback Anchor: Hard to find on purpose.
Character: Grandpa.
Callback Type: Phrase Callback.

Example Output

The tool suggests early, middle, reverse, escalation, and closer callback placements so the phrase can return later with a stronger payoff.
